Wow! So much going on now but heading into my favorite time of year...the cooler weather has been great!
Taking a break from working on a Charity/Benefit/Fund raising event for a local family that is headed to Baltimore, hopefully sometime in October for "eating boot camp" for their 4-year-old daughter. Should roll the website out in a day or so...Super excited to see the turn out for this! I am hoping for a huge success!

Non-Profoundess-Try #2.
Okay so tonight just before heading to VBS the sky around Avon started turning dark and off in the distance one could hear thunder gently rolling (what a wonderful sound, by the way). The clouds were astounding...dark. The girls were discussing whether the clouds were black, gray, or blue...any of those colors could have been used to describe them.
So, I dropped the girls off at VBS and headed home to clean the house. Just as I pulled into the garage the rain started to pound on the ground, lightning flashed, and thunder rolled (what a wonderful sound!).
Initially I was thinking..."hmmm...I wonder how much worse it is going to get." I turned on the TV to see that there was not much left to come. However, the daylight, dim as it was just 20 minutes earlier, was turning almost night-like. I found myself not believing the radar or the meteorologist (I know...who can believe them anyway).
Long story short, the storm passed and all was well...the sun came out and a bright rainbow shone in the sky off to the southeast.
After seeing that rainbow though made me start to think...is this how it was at Golgotha (the day that Jesus died on the cross for our sins)? The daylight today, over the matter of minutes, was turned to pitch black even though it was mid-afternoon. At that time I did find myself feeling disoriented...I wonder what those people that were there at Golgotha though and felt. It certainly had to be more profound than the storm tonight but tonight I feel that I got a glimpse of that sad but glorious day!
I thank God for the storm this afternoon and that I had the day off of work to reflect on His Word, His goodness, and his Grace!

Wedding Anniversary
Today is our (Tony and me) 9th wedding anniversary...
Random thoughts of the day...at this time 9 years ago...hmmmmm...
We had a great weekend this past weekend...spent it in downtown Indy at the Marriot. No, we didn't stay there every minute. Enjoyed bike riding the tow path that runs from downtown to Broadripple, then headed north on the Monon. I have to say...I love the tow path! Especially the IMA and the other sights along the way (small turtles sun bathing, muskrats, and birds singing). Also a wonderful thing is the smells along the way...AKA...honeysuckle and the coolness of the shade of the trees along the way.
We had dinner that night at the Rathskeller (nice-German feel) and walked down Mass Ave to the O'Malia's and picked up a movie at the RedBox (love that thing) "New in Town" was the name of the movie. Took the movie back to the hotel, had a glass of wine and enjoyed good company.
I would totally recommend anyone doing this...Thank God for willing grandparents that watch our chillin's!
